So, here I am mulling a rich green gold type colour. It is one of my favourite colours, but I have struggled with the formula greatly.
Firstly, the Indian yellow in this two pigment mixture seems to clump up, and become quite hard. It sticks to my muller, and doesn't mix in with the rest of the paint without a lot of effort. I have had this happen with some Quinacridone pigments too.
I know this can just happen with certain pigments, but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to avoid this? Or at least make it easier to deal with. Or perhaps a good alternative to Indian yellow?
The other issue is that the final result is kind of streaky. I can't decide if it is just an unceremonious mixture of pigments, or too much binder, or not enough, etc.
I would really love to work through these issues as I love this colour dearly. Many thanks all!
